Arran Ceilidh Band formed in 2014. I was in a rut at this point in my music career and this gave me the lift I was looking for. We were a five-piece band, playing traditional Scots / Irish dance and folk music and we were good. I played guitar and sang, and it was this band that really got me into the DADGAD tuning for accompanying dance music. We played Fiddlers in Brodick a lot, but also did around 20 wedding / party gigs around the island. The big gigs were great fun and the last few I ran our sound from the stage.
We disbanded in the last quarter of 2017.
